Amanda Knox engaged to musician Colin Sutherland

Amanda Knox, who was convicted in an Italian court for the 2007 murder of her roommate, is now engaged to Brooklyn musician Colin “Thunderstrike” Sutherland.

The Seattle Times reported that although Knox’s legal troubles are far from over and she could end back in an Italian prison, she announced her engagement to the musician.

The 27-year-olds were spotted together enjoying a day at New York’s Coney Island in September and their relationship has blossomed even more since then.

But it is uncertain at this time if there will a wedding and happy ending for Knox.

She, along with her previous boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito were accused of the gruesome murder of Meredith Kercher, whom Knox lived with when she studied abroad in Italy. They were both found guilty of murder.

Knox spent four years behind bars before her conviction was overturned in 2011. She then returned to the U.S. but as previously noted, after a retrial, Knox and Sollecito were again found guilty the slaying of the British student.

The court will rule next month if there should be yet another retrial. Knox though, has vowed that she will never return to Italy.

Guess we’ll just have to wait and see how this plays out.
