Drake breaks two records on Spotify with 'If You're Reading This It's Too Late' release

Drake has broken his own Spotify record with his newly-released mixtape If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late. It was streamed 17.3 million times since it was released on Friday, making it the most streamed album in its debut week.

This breaks the record his last album, Nothing Was the Same, set, which was 15.8 million streams in its first week out.

The AP reports it broke another record, which is the most streams in one day at 6.8 million on Saturday alone.

Drake pulled a Beyonce by releasing the mixtape without any notice, which was a huge surprise for fans. It has 17 songs and will be followed by his next album release Views From the 6.

One of the most buzzed about songs on the mixtape, “6pm in New York,” includes a diss to Tyga, who has responded on Tuesday morning.

“I heard the lil’ lil’ homie talkin’ reckless in Vibe. That’s quite the platform you chose, you should’ve kept it inside/ Oh, you tried/ It’s so childish callin’ my name on the world stage /You need to act your age and not your girl’s age,” Drake rapped.

MTV News reports Tyga responded by saying on The Breakfast Cub Tuesday morning, “First of all, we live in the same [neighborhood]. He knows exactly where my house is, I know exactly where his house is. In Calabasas — we live next to each other.”

He added, “My thing is, if it’s real it’s real. If it’s not, it’s not. I just don’t f–k with him as a person because of the experiences that I’ve had with him personally. I’m not going against who he is as a person to the public or his music or anything like that, like I said his music is great. It’s undeniable. It’s his moment.”
