Eagles: Not our fault Riley Cooper is on team calendar for February - Black History Month

There's a new addition to the "epic fail" history books and it's courtesy of the Philadelphia Eagles. Their team calendar for 2015 shows wide receiver Riley Cooper as the February man, or Black History Month man. This is an obvious issue because of the hot water he was in a year and a half ago for using a very inappropriate racial slur.

The team is claiming though that they aren't responsible for the production of the team calendar.

According to CBS Sports once the Eagles were directed to the distasteful use of Cooper, they released a statement.

"We do not oversee the production of the annual team calendar," the Eagles said in a statement. "We do not provide any input about the players who are featured or where those pictures appear in the calendar. The NFL licenses the production of that calendar to a third party and we do not have an opportunity to review the material."

Well, either somebody has a very poor sense of humor, or this was a major screw up in a disastrous way.

Of all the 12 months to choose from, and of all 30 plus players on the current offseason roster, how is it possible that Cooper finds himself as Mr. February?

Cooper is coming off a quiet season which saw him only grab 55 balls for 577 yards and three touchdowns, notes Pro Football Reference.
