Jessa Duggar slams Christians who don't believe in hell, insists God's judgement shouldn’t be taken lightly

Jessa Seewald, one of the members of 19 Kids And Counting’s Duggar family, when on a long Facebook post Wednesday, criticizing liberal Christians who do not believe in hell. She insisted that God’s judgement should not be taken lightly.

In the long post, Seewald made it clear that she was not happy with the way the Bible verse “Do not judge, or you too will be judged” is quoted today. People say that only God can judge them, the 22-year-old writes, but they don’t understand what that means.

“They don't even realize what they're saying. God's judgement isn't something to be taken lightly! It should scare you! Man's ‘judgement’ is a 1000x lighter... usually just a voicing of disapproval,” Seewald wrote. “But when unbelieving, sinful men die and stand before God, He justly condemns them to hell.”

Seewald then listed two examples of how she thinks liberal Christians think. She wrote that anyone who believes in a “loving God” who wouldn’t sent people to hell are creating a God that is not in the Bible.

“The Bible teaches that God is a Just Judge, and He must punish sin. Every one of us have broken God's law, and hell is our deserved punishment. (Unless you're reading some very distorted "translation" of the Bible, you cannot get around the fact that there is a hell),” she wrote.

Her second example is a person who wonders why God hasn’t punished them immediately for doing something God would not approve of. Seewald writes that we shouldn’t follow our human hearts because they are “bent toward sin and not righteousness.” As for God’s judgement, we just have to be patient.

“... The only reason you're are alive right now is because He is merciful and has kept your heart beating for another day,” she continued. “He is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish but that all should reach repentance. But He will not hold back forever. The hours of your time here on earth are ticking away. You're not promised another day, or even another breath. God's Day of Judgement draws near. It will come as a thief in the night--when you least expect it. Everything that you have done in secret will be exposed. Nothing we do is hidden from God's view. (1 Peter 3:9&10).”

Seewald, who married Ben Sweewald in November, then listed more Bible verses and told her fans to read more. “Read what God has done so that you and I might be forgiven of our sins and saved from the punishment we deserve,” she wrote.
