Jessica Williams tweets that she's not going to replace Jon Stewart on 'The Daily Show'

Comedian Jessica Williams, who is a current member of The Daily Show’s news team, has been brought up as a potential replacement for Jon Stewart. However, she took herself out of the running on Twitter over the weekend.

Williams first tweeted, “I'm not hosting. Thank you but I am extremely under-qualified for the job!” Since she has extreme reactions to anyone who doesn’t agree with her politics, she just wouldn’t be right for the job,

“That being said I am super not right for it, but there are quite a few people who are! Can't wait to stick around & see what happens,” Williams, 25, added.

Williams has been among the more active Daily Show contributors in recent months, which made some think that she would be the likely candidate to replace Stewart. It also didn’t help that a Hot Tub Time Machine 2 blip predicted that she would be the show’s next host.

Stewart announced last week that he plans on leaving The Daily Show by the end of the year, although no date has been set. Comedy Central executives have said they do have names for potential replacements, but wouldn’t say who they are considering.
