Lauren Conrad admits she never was obsessed with the idea of marriage

Lauren Conrad may be enjoying married life now with her new husband, but she admits she never was obsessed with the idea of one day getting married!

Conrad, a reality television star, author, and fashion designer has let the world watch her grow from a young high school student to a successful businesswoman. Within the last few years she has built a fashion empire and also settled down with her new husband, lawyer and musician William Tell in September 2014. In the April 2015 issue of Redbook magazine, Conrad discussed marriage and if she will allow their future kids to have a reality television career of their own.

"I was never a person who was obsessed with the idea of marriage,” Conrad admitted. "I mean, I love weddings. But my husband is the first person I ever thought I could marry." Recently, her fashion line Paper Crown expanded to designing bridesmaid’s dresses, which her own bridesmaids wore on her wedding day.

Conrad and Tell met on Valentine’s Day in 2012 after being introduced through a mutual friend. They exchanged vows in California on September 13th, 2014. The newlyweds currently don’t have any children, but Conrad already knows one thing she won’t encourage her children to participate in the future. "I definitely wouldn't encourage my children to do reality television," admitted the former reality television star of MTV’s hit shows, The Hills and Laguna Beach.

Even though her new husband was the first person she saw herself marrying, Conrad admitted that there is one thing that her husband has made difficult to do, which is watching television! "I watch The Good Wife with him and he's like, 'That's incorrect. You would actually do this. It's a nightmare!,” she admitted.
