Mr. T has landed his own home improvement show on the DIY Network called I Pity the Tool.
The show will star Mr. T and interior designer Tiffany Brooks, who won HGTV Design Star as they remodel homes in need of repair.
The Hollywood Reporter reports the show will make its debut later this year and got a straight-to-series order.
The show’s title is a play on his trademark line “I pity the fool” and it follows a long list of other celebrities who have landed deals for home construction shows.
DIY Network also hosts Vanilla Ice’s The Vanilla Ice Project, Daryl Hall’s Daryl’s Restoration Over-Hall, Rev Run’s Rev Fun’s Renovation and William Shatner’s The Shatner Project.
Mr. T told Variety of the show, “You can’t just knock down everything. There might be electrical wiring. There might be a gap open. You have to take your time. You have to scout things out. If you do the wrong thing, it’s going to be a disaster.”
He also called himself “tough” but also an “old-fashioned mama’s boy” who has a “marshmallow in my heart.”
