Rookie LAPD officer sought for questioning in fatal shooting

Authorities in Los Angeles have said that one of their own, a rookie police officer, is wanted for questioning in a fatal shooting.

The Associated Press noted that on Sunday the LAPD said that the car belonging to Officer Henry Solis had been found, however, the 27-year-old rookie cop is still at large.
The vehicle was located not far from where Salome Rodriguez Jr., 23, was shot to death on Friday.

The Los Angeles Times reported that Lt. Ronald McDonald, of the Pomona Police Department, said that both Solis and Rodriguez went to a restaurant and bar together in the downtown Pomona area. The victim was found dead near the restaurant.

The rookie cop has not been to work since the discovery of Rodriguez’s body.

Police have named him as a person of interest and would like to speak to him as soon as possible.

Anyone who has information on Solis’ whereabouts or the shooting is asked to contact the authorities.
