Social Media going crazy due to Zayn Malik’s departure from One Direction

Zayn Malik, One Direction’s bad boy heartthrob, didn’t just leave the British boy band; he put the teen world in a state of emotional upheaval. Fans everywhere posted their reactions to the heartbreaking news, a lot of which occurred in schools due to the fan demographic, in the form of Tweets, Twitter videos, and Vines according to Buzzfeed.

Creative memes also caught on instantly, specifically shared through Twitter that better described the emotional state of the fans than they could themselves, Hollywood Life reports. The social media famous “Crying Piccolo Girl”, Roxanne Chalifoux, became a theme for the NCAA, and now she’s been expanded into the teen scene of music and boy bands, ESPN confirms. The viral video was manipulated into a GIF and shared by several upset teens all with similar captions of “She found out @ZaynMalik is leaving @onedirection.”

With their initial steps to stardom on X-Factor evolving into sold-out world tours, Malik seems fed up with the fame. He recently stated he left due to his ambition to live as a “normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight” according to E!. It’s possible in the future he may be able to achieve this goal, but as for now fans are not planning on leaving him alone.

In result to Malik’s leaving, a possible replacement may have been discovered, and he’s been practicing with the help of Josh Peck, in his most recent Vine. The new member of one direction based solely on looks is… drumroll… John Stamos. It’s all a humorous play on the resemblance between the two, although Stamos has had experience in the music industry in his involvement with The Beach Boys. Who knows, anything is possible, but for now the group continues on with the four remaining members.
