You can now turn Google Maps into Pac-Man game

Welp, there goes any attempt to get work done today. Google unveiled its April Fool’s Day joke a day early today and it’s incredible.

If you go to Google Maps, there’s a new option for viewing maps. You can now turn streets into a Pac-Man puzzle grid, turning the real world into the addictive arcade game. You can go anywhere in the world that happens to have a lot of streets, like Times Square in New York or Piccadilly Circus in London. It’s fun to take Pac-Man off the screen and see where he comes back in.

This isn’t the first time Google has tried to kill work productivity with Pac-Man. Back in May 2010, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the game, Google had a playable Pac-Man Google Doodle. (You can still play that, by the way.)

Since tomorrow’s April Fool’s Day, we can’t wait to see what else Google and other tech companies have waiting to drive us crazy.
