Aaron Hernandez verdict will likely come early next week

Jurors deciding the fate of former NFL star Aaron Hernandez were sent home Friday without submitting a verdict so as expected a decision should come next week.

The Boston Herald reported that the jury deliberated from 9 a.m. Friday till 1 p.m. before they were dismissed for the weekend.

They did not pass along any juror questions to Judge Susan Garsh as they have on other days. So far, the have spent about 20 hours deliberating the case.

The Associated Press noted that a jury usually deliberates from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, however, they can stay later if they choose to do so.

Many believe that the panel of seven woman and five men have been taking in every detail of the case and we can expect a verdict early next week.

The ex-New England Patriot is charged with the murder of semi-professional football player Odin Lloyd, whose body was found shot to death in an industrial park near Hernandez’s home.

His lawyers have said that he did not kill the victim or orchestrate it, but witnessed it and did not go to the authorities.
