Freddie Prinze Jr. and late Paul Walker's '90s hit 'She's All That' getting remake treatment

The ‘90s’ favorite, She’s All That, starring Freddie Prinze Jr., the late Paul Walker and Rachel Leigh Cook, is getting a remake from Miramax and Weinstein Co.

Tonya Lewis Lee, who’s the wife of director Spike Lee, will produce while Kenny Leon will direct.

Miramax denied the remake was set in stone to TheWrap but multiple sources say it will happen.

When the film first hit theaters in 1999, it made $100 million internationally. It also starred Matthew Lillard, Anna Paquin, Jodi Lyn O’Keefe, Gabrielle Union, Usher Raymond, Kevin Pollak, Lil’ Kim and more.

On Monday, a Twitter user reached out to Prinze Jr., writing, “You know, just Hollywood running out of ideas one more time. But what's new?” and he replied, “tough for writers with original scripts.”

Prinze Jr. surely knows a thing or two about it, since his I Know What You Did Last Summer is also getting a remake.
