Steven Tyler working on a country music album

Steven Tyler, lead singer of Aerosmith, is going country. Tyler is reportedly working on a solo country album in Nashville, Tennessee.

USA Today reported that Tyler made the announcement last night at the Grand Ole Opry. Tyler was featured on stage during Eric Paslay's set at the Opry and joined him for two acoustic songs and informed the crowd about his album.

The "Dream On" singer was wearing a large white coat that made him look more like a medical professional compared to a rock star, Rolling Stone added.

The album wasn't his best kept career secret, Tyler had been posting images onto his social media accounts that showed him in a studio in Nashville and working with some major country stars. The Aerosmith singer had been in the studio with Eric Paslay, Hillary Lindsey, Cary Barlowe, Nathan Barlowe and Lindsey Lee Taylor.

No release date or additional information has been released following Tyler's statement but it is rumored that he will be working with Scott Borchetta's Big Machine Label Group.
