Aaron Hernandez involved in gang-related prison fight (Report)

Former NFL star and convicted murderer Aaron Hernandez reportedly cannot keep out of trouble even while behind bars.

According to CNN, a law enforcement source has said that Hernandez agreed to be on the lookout for a fellow inmate who went into the cell of another prisoner for a fight.

The brawl between the two inmates, which was the source said was gang-related, reportedly took place on Monday at the Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center in Shirley, Massachusetts.

All three prisoners were disciplined over the incident and Hernandez was placed in a special management area.

The former tight end is serving a life sentence at the maximum-security prison after being found guilty last month for the 2013 murder of semi-professional football player Odin Lloyd. His lawyers have since appealed the conviction.

The 25-year-old, who once had a $40 million contract with the New England Patriots, has another upcoming murder trial in which he accused of shooting two men outside a nightclub in 2012. A start date for that trial could be set on Thursday.

Hernandez has plead not guilty to the double murder.
