Bill O'Reilly accused of domestic violence in custody fight with ex-wife

Fox News pundit Bill O’Reilly was reportedly accused of domestic violence in the custody battle with ex-wife Maureen McPhilmy over their two young children. O’Reilly has already called the allegations “100 percent false.”

On Monday, Gawker reported that custody of their two minor children went to McPhilmy after a decision by a Nassau County, New york Supreme Court judge. While the court documents are sealed, a source for the site claimed that the justice heard testimony that O’Reilly had assaulted McPhilmy in their Manhasset home.

A forensic examiner testified that their 16-year-old daughter claimed that she saw him drag McPhilmy down a staircase by the neck. It’s not clear when this happened, but the alleged incident must have taken place before 2010, when the couple separated.

O’Reilly, through his attorney, denied the Gawker report in a statement to Politico.

“All allegations against me in these circumstances are 100% false,” the statement reads. “I am going to respect the court-mandated confidentiality put in place to protect my children and will not comment any further.”

O’Reilly and McPhilmy were officially divorced in 2011. The custody battle ended three weeks ago.
