CBS Fall 2015: 'Supergirl' to start in November, 'CSI' gets two-hour series finale

CBS unveiled its 2015-2016 primetime schedule this morning, and the fall will once again experience shifts thanks to Thursday Night Football. Supergirl will air on Mondays, but itsn’t set to land until November. CSI is also set to get the two-hour series finale as promised.

However, the real kick-off for the new season starts on Tuesday, Sept. 8 when Stephen Colbert finally takes over The Late Show. David Letterman is retiring on May 20, but it’s not known what CBS plans to do in the interim, before Colbert steps in.

TNF begins on Sept. 17, so The Big Bang Theory will once again air on Mondays for the first part of the season. It will serve as a lead-in for Life In Pieces, a new family sitcom with Colin Hanks and Betsy Brandt. Both of these shows are set to move to Thursday in November after TNF is over. When that happens, Supergirl will take over.

Scorpion and NCIS: LA will air on Mondays at 9 p.m. and 10 p.m., respectively all season.

Tuesdays will have NCIS and NCIS: New Orleans back-to-back, followed by Limitless, a new drama based on the Bradley Cooper movie.

Fridays have The Amazing Race, Hawaii Five-0 and Blue Bloods.

Sundays will include Madam Secretary, The Good Wife and CSI: Cyber. However, on Sunday. Sept. 27, CSI is getting a two-hour series finale, which will include appearances from original stars William Petersen and Marg Helgenberger. After that, CSI star Ted Danson will join the cast of Cyber.

2 Broke Girls, Mike & Molly, The Odd Couple, Person of Interest and Undercover Boss were all held back for midseason. The Criminal Minds spin-off, Beyond Borders, and the Rush Hour series were not scheduled either.
