Downtown Disney gets 'Indiana Jones' themed bar

In an effort to expand the presence of Indiana Jones at the Disney Parks, conveniently right after a new movie was confirmed, Disney announced a new bar and lounge inspired by the everyone’s favorite fictional archaeologist.

The bar, called Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, was announced on Tuesday. It will be located at Downtown Disney in Orlando, between Paradiso 37 and BOATHOUSE restaurants., right along Lake Buena Vista.

Jock Lindsey’s Bar is named after Indy’s frequent pilot and is designed to look like a hangar. The steamboat, named after Jock’s pet snake Reggie, will also be outside the venue.

Inside, there will be seating for 150 and you can get unique cocktails, as well as snacks like Air Pirates Everything Pretzels and Rolling Boulder Meatballs.

The bar is set to open this fall.

Orlando is also home to the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. There is also the Indiana Jones Adventure ride at Disneyland in Anaheim and Tokyo DisneySea and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril at Disneyland Paris.

Now that Disney owns the Indiana Jones franchise through its purchase of Lucasfilm, the studio is working on a fifth film.
