Emily VanCamp thanks fans on Twitter after ABC cancels 'Revenge'

Now that Revenge is coming to an end, the show’s lead star, Emily VanCamp, has taken to Twitter to thank fans for their support. The show lasted four seasons and comes to an end this month.

News about Revenge getting cancelled broke on Wednesday. That made it official that the May 10 episode, “Two Graves,” will be the series finale.

VanCamp, who played Emily Thorne on the primetime soap, tweeted that she “could not be more grateful for the experience” of making the show. She also thanked all the fans who have supported the show, even as its ratings began to decline when it moved to Sundays.

Showrunner Sunil Nayar told Entertainment Weekly that there was some thought about how the show could go on, but he is pleased with how the show will end up ending. He did say that there was even going to be a “tiny little” cliffhanger in “Two Graves.”

“We don’t want people to get weary of the stories we’re telling, so we felt like they deserve an ending to this novel that [creator] Mike Kelley started four years ago,” Nayar said. “I really feel like the last couple chapters are worthy of the first many.”

Revenge’s final episode airs on Sunday, May 10 at 10 p.m.

Here’s some of the social media messages cast and crew have left.
