To remind us that super serious movies will soon be filing into theaters, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association has announced the schedule for events leading up to the 2016 Golden Globes.

Back in January, the HFPA announced that the 73rd annual ceremony will take place on sunday, Jan. 10, 2016 and will air on NBC. That date has not changed.

Today’s announcement set out the timetable. On Friday, Oct. 30, TV and movie entry forms are due. Ballots will be mailed to HFPA members nearly a month later on Wednesday, Nov. 25.

The last date for voters to screen movies is on Wednesday, Dec. 2 and movie press conferences will be held on Saturday, Dec. 5.

Nomination ballots need to be received by Monday, Dec. 7. Nominations will be announced on Thursday, Dec. 10. Final ballots will be mailed out on Monday, Dec. 21 and they are due by Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2016.

This year’s Golden Globes were seen by 19.3 million viewers and earned a 5.8 rating in the 18-49 demographic. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosted again, but they have said that they are done hosting.

The top winners on the night included Boyhood, Birdman and The Grand Budapest Hotel on the movie site. For television, Showtime’s The Affair and Amazon’s The Transparent were among the new shows showered with awards.
