Jane Fonda discusses her body, admits she 'always had a good bum'

Jane Fonda is one confident woman who embraces her body!

Fonda, an actress, model, and fitness icon is proving that age is just a number when it comes to fashion. For the June/July issue of W magazine, she makes history as the oldest cover star at 77-years-old.

The actress credits her iconic red carpet fashion choices to her ability to dress according to her body type.

She explained how she always knows what pieces she likes on her body. The most recent time was when she stunned on the Grammy Awards red carpet in a jaw-dropping Balmain jumpsuit.

“I took one look at that Balmain jumpsuit, and I said, 'That's it!' I'm best when I'm wearing something structured, with no frills or bows," she said. "Something that will show my waist and bum, because I've always had a good bum."

After many highs and lows in her career and personal life, Fonda realized that she could make a difference in Hollywood and create a movement.

“I had a vision: I wanted to give a cultural face to older women,” she explained. But even as strong-minded as she seemed, she admitted that she also went through moments when she was “defined” by her looks.

The actress admitted that she had plastic surgery and said in the interview that she is “not proud” of that decision. “I was taught to think that if I wanted to be loved, I had to be thin and pretty.” But through that experience, she knows that thought only “leads to a lot of trouble."
