NBC Fall 2015 schedule: 'Blindspot' gets post-'Voice' slot, 'Coach' reboot held for midseason

NBC released its fall 2015 schedule this morning, a day before its upfront for advertisers at Radio City Music Hall. The schedule is filled with plenty of interesting moves, including a decision to push all comedies to Fridays.

Blindspot, from The Flash producer Greg Berlanti, snagged the powerful post-The Voice slot for the fall. That series centers on a woman (Jaimie Alexander), who wakes up naked in Times Square with mysterious tattoos. One of the tattoos is the name of an FBI agent (Sullivan Stapleton), who could help her out.

After The Voice’s Tuesday results shows, medical drama Heartbreaker will air. In that one, Melissa George stars as a heart-transplant surgeon with her own set of rules. Neil Patrick Harris’ variety show will follow. Chicago Fire will take NPH’s slot in November.

Wednesday will have all returning shows, including Mysteries of Laura, Law & Order: SVU and Chicago PD.

The Heroes reboot, Heroes Reborn, will air on Thursdays. Wesley Snipes’ The Player will also air that night, with The Blacklist inbetween.

The only two comedies NBC will air this fall will both be on Fridays. The all-live Undateable has been paired with Mark-Paul Gosselaar’s People Are Talking.

NBC will have a few shows waiting for midseason, or if any of the scheduled new shows flop. One of them is the reimagined Wizard of Oz limited series Emerald City, as well as the Chicago Fire spinoff Chicago Med. Game of Silence, The Night Shift and the Coach revival were also held back.
