President Obama to make one last appearance on 'Late Show with David Letterman'

President Barack Obama will make a final appearance on CBS’ The Late Show before David Letterman retires later this month. It will be his first appearance on the show since 2012.

Obama has previously appeared on Letterman seven times, but only two since he became President. His first appearance came in 2004 when he was a senator for Illinois. His two appearances as Commander in Chief came on Sept. 21, 2009 and Sept. 18, 2012.

His eighth appearance will come on Monday. The other guests that day include Will Ferrell and performances by the Avett Brothers and Brandi Carlile.

Also on Monday, CBS is airing David Letterman: A Life on Television, which will start at 9:30 p.m. and is hosted by Ray Romano. The special will trace Letterman’s career and includes his best interviews and skits.
