Top 10 moments from 'The Flash' episode 'Fast Enough'

The season finale of The Flash was an intense ride as Barry had to decide whether to go back in time to save his mother. It could have severe repercussions for everyone he loves and he turns to them to figure out what to do.

With tender scenes between Barry and his family, we also saw moments between all of the characters as they discovered things about each other.

Faced with so much going on and knowing they love each other, Caitlin and Ronnie make the decision to get married. And when Cisco and Wells come face to face, Cisco discovers a surprising fact about himself that he never realized before.

Finally, Eddie realizes that he has his own destiny, despite what Eobard Thawne told him, and he makes a decision that impacts the entire outcome of the ending.

When Barry makes his choice, it is the most difficult thing anyone can do. Grant Gustin did a phenomenal job in this powerful episode and we can’t wait to see what happens next season as he can only get stronger from here. 10. Righting a wrong

Barry is still trying to figure out what he should do when Wells tells him he could go back in time to save his mom. Martin Stein and Ronnie also arrive to help, and Stein tells Barry he could change too many things, such as never meeting his friends or living with Joe and Iris. It leads to conflicting feelings inside Barry, as he deals with whether he should save his mother or not.

9. Henry and Barry

Barry goes to see his father to tell him what he plans on doing. However, Henry surprises his son by telling him that he shouldn’t change the past and that his mother wouldn’t want that either. Barry is in tears as he still struggles to figure out what to do.

8. Iris and Barry

Iris and Barry meet at their spot and they have a sweet moment remembering meeting when he was first known as the streak. They talk about their future marriage, which Barry isn’t sure will happen. He tearfully asks her what he should decide and she tells him to focus on his own feelings.

7. Fast enough

When Barry goes to see Wells again after thinking over his decision, Wells tells him that they will use the particle accelerator to go back in time, even though Barry is unsure. He learns they will insert one accelerator that Barry needs to try to beat that can open a wormhole to other timelines. He will either be able to travel back in time or go to the future. If he can’t beat the accelerator, he won’t survive.

6. Time machine

Barry gets an idea to try and build a time machine so he works with Cisco and Ronnie to find the machine that Wells had been building. However, Ronnie realizes one of the pieces is flammable and could create problems, so Cisco goes down to talk to him. The discussion is tense as he finds out what he needs to know to fix the problem and then he ends up telling Wells about how he murdered him. Wells isn’t sorry about killing him, but he is sorry that Cisco remembers it. Then he shocks Cisco by telling him he was also affected by the particle accelerator exploding and that he has an “honorable destiny” ahead.

5. Wedding

After a talk with Stein, Eddie decides to take control of his own destiny and to go and get Iris back. They are just in time to witness Caitlin and Ronnie’s wedding, which Martin officiates.

4. Joe and Barry

In a series of heartbreaking scenes, Joe and Barry try to figure out the choice Barry should make. Joe tries to do the fatherly thing and tell Barry to do what he has to do. But inside, it scares him to see what could happen. Meanwhile, Barry is feeling conflicted in the face of losing one parent to gain back another. Joe points out that Barry will never lose him.

3. Goodbye

Barry is ready to say goodbye to his family and friends. Cisco tells him “May the speed force be with you” and a touching moment between Joe and Barry happens when they embrace and call each other father and son. Soon, Barry is ready to go back to the past.

2. Run

Barry goes into the accelerator to begin running. Wells talks him through it as he reaches a speed of Mach 2, which is faster than he has ever gone before. Barry travels back and is able to see his future and past. When he arrives back in time, he lands in his childhood bedroom and opens the door to see his future self. But then we see Barry does not save his mother. Instead, he goes to her as she is dying and reveals who he is. They tearfully speak before she passes away.

1. The wormhole reopens

Barry comes back to the present just as Wells is getting ready to go to his own time. The two men engage in battle as Ronnie and Caitlin rush to close the wormhole. They are successful and as Wells is about to kill Barry, a shot is heard and we see Eddie has shot himself to erase Eobard Thawne’s existence. Because he dies, the wormhole reopens as Thawne disappears. The group rushes outside to see a huge blackhole forming and eating up the city. Faced with losing the entire earth, Barry makes a decision to run up to the black hole to stop it as his loved ones, including his father, watch in shock.
