Tracy Morgan and Walmart reach settlement over 2014 car crash

Actor Tracy Morgan and Walmart have come to a settlement after the June 2014 crash involving a Walmart truck driver that killed one person and seriously injured Morgan and two friends.

A settlement was reached between the two sides today, with the details remaining confidential, according to Fox News.

Walmart has already settled with the children of James McNair, who was killed in the crash.

Morgan, McNair and friends were traveling on the New Jersey Turnpike after a performance in Delaware, when their limousine bus was rear-ended by a Walmart truck. Morgan suffered from a serious brain injury and broken bones, and was required to spend weeks in the hospital and a rehabilitation center.

"Our thoughts continue to go out to everyone that was involved in the accident," said Greg Foran, Walmart U.S. president and CEO, in the statement from the company, notes NBC News. "While we know there is nothing that can change what happened, Walmart has been committed to doing what's right to help ensure the well-being of all of those who were impacted by the accident. We worked closely with Mr. Morelli, and we are pleased to have reached an amicable settlement that ends this litigation. We are deeply sorry that one of our trucks was involved."
