Turkey, Tuna and Brisket Burgers: Top 10 alternatives to the classic burger on National Burger Day

Long gone are the days of basic cheeseburgers with American or cheddar cheese, some tomato and onion and some ketchup on top – the options for burgers have become a foodie’s dream these days. From toppings like Blue cheese and bacon, to Gorgonzola cheese and pears, the possibilities are endless.

It’s not even a requirement for your burger to have red meat in it; there are now options for vegetarians and more health-conscious eaters, like turkey burgers or ground chicken burgers.

All you at-home chefs can even get creative with stuffing your burger with cheese instead of including it as one of your toppings to ensure ooey-gooey goodness.

Burgers are just one of those American staples that bring families and friends together for barbecues and get-togethers. Don’t forget the sweet potato fries!

So in honor of National Burger Day on Thursday, May, 28, here are some options for you to make for dinner tonight (in no particular order…I don’t discriminate my burgers.)
