Comedy Central, ‘Daily Show’ say goodbye to Jon Stewart with ‘Month of Zen’ streaming event

Comedy Central announced Thursday that it has discovered an unprecedented way to say goodbye to Daily Show host Jon Stewart. Starting today, the network will live-stream every single episode Stewart hosted. The event will lead right up to Stewart’s final day in August.

The “Month of Zen” will start today at Noon Eastern with Stewart’s first episode from Jan. 11, 1999. The 42-day marathon will continue until 7:17 ET on Thursday, Aug. 6, which will be Stewart’s last day.

Au audio version of the event, titled “Jon Voyage,” will start on the Comedy Central Radio station on SiriusXM Saturday, Aug. 3 at 7 a.m. ET and will finish on Monday, Aug. 3 at 7 a.m. ET.

In addition, current Daily Show correspondents Jordan Klepper, Hasan Minhaj and Jessica Williams will house an hour-long special called The Daily Show With Jon Stewart: News Your Own Adventure on Sunday, Aug. 2 at 9 p.m. The special will be made up of 20 past Daily Show segments that fans voted as their favorites.

Stewart will be replaced by Trevor Noah, who starts on Sept. 28.
