'Fuller House': Bob Saget stands up for Olsen Twins

While many Full House fans are disappointed that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen decided not to take part in Netflix’s Fuller House series, Bob Saget defended them, saying that it was completely up to them.

When asked by Access Hollywood if he was upset at all by their decision, he said he wasn’t. “I'm not because I love them and I want them to do what they want to do and everybody should do what they want to do,” the comedian explained.

Saget also said that they have no issue with the Full House team. They just decided not to do it and, considering their busy schedule as fashion designers, it wasn’t a complete surprise.

“They love everybody, I mean, I love them, people should do what they want to do," Saget said about the twins, who played the same character on the show when they were toddlers. "I think people that are doing [the new series] are excited that they are doing it. Nobody is feeling anything but happiness that people want to see [these characters] again."

Saget signed on to play Danny Tanner once again last week. He joins returning Full House stars Candace Cameron-Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Andrea Barber, Lori Loughlin, Dave Coulier and John Stamos.

Cameron-Bure is the star of the series, playing D.J., who is now a widower with three children. Sweetin’s Stephanie and Barber’s Kimmy Gibbler help raise the children.

Fuller House will debut on Netflix next year.
