Are we ever going to actually get a Hellboy 3? It's seemed pretty unlikely for a while, but now series star Ron Perlman is taking to Twitter to try to drum up support for a third film.
Perlman posted on his official Twitter account asking fans if they want to see a third Hellboy as much as he does, asking followers to get #HellboyIII trending.
Anybody out there wanna see #HellboyIII as much as I do? Let's get this muthafucka trending, y'all!
Let's end the trilogy; we earned it!

According to that tweet, Perlman would want a new Hellboy to be the end of the trilogy, finishing it off in a proper way.
If that wasn't exciting enough, Doug James, another Hellboy actor who played Abe Sapien, joined Perlman in support of another movie.
@perlmutations Locking elbows with you, Big Brother Red!! #HellboyIII

So will it actually happen? Guillermo del Toro doesn't seem to think so, saying last year it's unlikely to get made, as we previously reported, especially since they'd need about $150 million to do it. But hey, we can dream, right?
The first two Hellboy movies weren't exactly smash hits, with the first making $59 million domestically and the second making $75 million. With that in mind, it makes sense why the studio would be wary to finance another one, sadly.
