Taco Bell to start offering beer, wine and mixed drinks at new Chicago location

Taco Bell will start selling alcohol at a new Chicago location, marking the first time they serve adult beverages at any location in the U.S.

A new location in the Wicker Park area of Chicago will start to serve mixed drinks, wine and beer, but only to eat-in customers.

A spokesperson for Taco Bell also told Chicago Tribune they will offer alcoholic “freezes” to go along with your tacos.

This new menu offering is following in the footsteps of the brand’s U.K., Seoul and Tokyo locations. Taco Bell is now bringing their rebranding efforts to the U.S., mainly with the roll-out of more upscale locations.

Taco Bell, owned by Yum Brands, also revealed plans for a delivery service which they should be ready to start testing by the end of the year. CEO Brian Niccol admitted they don’t have all the details figured out just yet.
