Chris Pine tries out a New England accent in Disney’s first ‘The Finest Hours’ trailer (Video)

Chris Pine will be a different kind of captain for Disney’s The Finest Hours, a sea disaster picture that the studio plans on dumping in January. The film has been in the works for awhile and has seen several different release dates, but the studio finally released a trailer for it today.

Pine stars as a member of the Coast Guard who is assigned to rescue a group of sailors stuck in a tanker that has been split in two during a dangerous storm in 1954. The cast also includes Ben Foster, Eric Bana, Holliday Grainger and Casey Affleck.

The Finest Hours, which was directed by Million Dollar Arm’s Craig Gillespie, was once scheduled for release in October. However, Disney has decided to move it to Jan. 29. It is based on the nonfiction book by Casey Sherman and Michael J. Tougias.

Pine recently starred in Disney’s Into The Woods and the indie film Z For Zacharia. He’s currently working on Star Trek Beyond.
