Mitch Winehouse calls 'Amy' director Asif Kapadia a 'disgrace,' will make his own film with Reg Traviss

Mitch Winehouse, the father of the late Amy Winehouse, is so upset by the Asif Kapadia-directed documentary Amy that he’s determined to make his own film about his daughter.

During an appearance on British radio show Loose Women, he complained about the documentary - just as he has in the past - saying that those closest to her were not in the film.

“We're going to invite everyone that's spoken on the other film and we're not going to edit it, like they've edited me, and we're going to tell the truth about Amy's life,” he said, adding he's making the film with her boyfriend Reg Traviss.

Winehouse explained that Traviss, did "six, seven hours of interviews" for Amy but didn't get included in the film. He also did "dozens of hours of interviews" himself but we only hear him "three times."

He also took to Twitter to say he’s been seeing what “horrible trolls” are writing about him as a result of what he believes is an unfair portrayal of himself in the film.

“All Amys friends who were excluded from film will have their say. They won't be edited. Kapadia, you are a disgrace,” he tweeted.
