Top 10 Walt Disney World closed attractions

Disney Parks is constantly making changes to Walt Disney World in Orlando to make sure that you never have the same experience twice. If you haven’t been to Magic Kingdom in several years, you will definitely need a new map to figure it out. If you haven’t been to Disney/MGM Studios since 2008, you’ll discover that the park even has a new name!

Personally, going to Disney World used to be an annual thing when I was little, but as things got more and more expensive, the trips became less... plausible. Still, I cherish those memories, as do many other children who went to Disney World when they were young.

My favorite park was always “MGM” as we used to call it. I loved riding Star Tours ad nauseum and The Muppets were always fun to hang out with. Heck, they used to even have the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! And for any young kid with dreams of becoming an animator, the Magic of Disney Animation was the place to go. Even though the Orlando animation studio was closed in 2004, Disney kept the attraction open. But this week, they confirmed that they plan on closing it this month.

So, with that in mind, I started to think about other great rides and attractions that no longer exist. Let’s get started on our nostalgic trip to what the Happiest Place on Earth used to be like.

The Disney Wiki is a fantastic resource for info on all these great rides that are no longer with us.
