Young Thug arrested for threatening to shoot mall security guard in the face

Rapper Young Thug was arrested in Atlanta on Wednesday morning about a week after threatening a mall security guard at the Perimeter Mall.

He was arrested without incident for allegedly making terrorist threats when the security guard was escorting him out of the mall, threatening to shoot him in the face.

Jim Joyner, a spokesman for the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, confirmed the arrest to Atlanta Journal Constitution. It occurred at around 6am at a home in Sandy Springs.

The rapper was hauled off to the DeKalb County jail and his rep did not respond to Rolling Stone for a comment.

His debut album, HiTunes comes out on August 28. He’s signed to fellow rapper Gucci Mane’s label.

Back in April, Young Thug released the mixtape Barter 6. His songs “Stoner” and “Check” are his latest hits.

Young Thug’s real name is Jeffrey Lamar Williams.
