Beyoncé covers September issue of Vogue

Beyoncé has landed the cover of Vogue for the third time and is the first black musician to cover the magazine's coveted September issue.

The pop superstar will grace the fashion magazine's September issue. This is only the third time ever that a black woman has been featured on the September issue of Vogue, according to Time. Naomi Campbell and Halle Berry were the other two cover stars in 1989 and 2010, respectively.

"The Vogue September issue is the biggest and most exciting issue of the year, filled with the latest in fashion news, entertainment and culture," according to Amazon.

The issue's cover text reads, "Just B: Beyoncé and the Art of Global Domination." Beyoncé, photographed by Mario Testino, is pictured wearing a $12,000 Marc Jacobs dress and a $4,800 Marc Jacobs coat, according to Vogue.

"The word 'diva' is used for so many female performers, and it often means they have reputations for being difficult, but [Beyoncé] exudes charm and a lovable quality," Jacobs said.

Vogue debuted a behind-the-scenes video of Beyoncé's cover shoot along with a preview of the issue on their website. The September issue goes on sale tomorrow in Target and on Amazon and will hit newsstands August 25.

Beyoncé will also be headlining the Made In America Festival in Philadelphia next month. With a headlining show, a major magazine cover and the MTV Video Music Awards coming up, could Queen Bey be preparing to release new music? Stay tuned!
