Shania Twain's LA concert interrupted by power outage

Country singer Shania Twain had her concert at the Staples Center in L.A. Thursday night briefly interrupted by a power outage.

A concert goer told E! News the singer was in the middle of her song ‘That Don’t Impress Me Much’ when the lights, music and the visual graphics stopped working. The outage occurred right after she sang the line, “OK so you’re a rocket scientist.” Nearly five minutes went by and Twain was not able to sing because her microphone would not work.

Twain eventually struck up a conversation with two men in the audience who had gotten engaged earlier that day, with one of the guys actually working as a rocket scientist. “We have a real rocket scientist in the audience tonight...And he just got engaged,” Twain said to other fans in the audience according to the concert goer. “All bad things happen for a good reason. Cool, let’s get a selfie.”

The lights and music eventually came back, and Twain tweet about the incident after her show saying, “We had so much fun in LA that we blew the power out! We came back up within minutes and kept rocking @STAPLESCenter #rockthiscountry.”
