Bruce Willis buying lunch and dinner for around 450 firefighters two years ago is somehow trending again

A good deed Bruce Willis did two years ago is somehow getting recognition all over again, becoming a trending topic on Facebook on Saturday.

Willis bought lunch and dinner for about 450 firefighters who were battling a fire outside of his home in Beaver Creek, Idaho in 2013. It’s an amazing gesture, and should be recognized no matter how much time has gone by.

“Like all of my fellow Idaho residents, I want to extend my most sincere and grateful thanks to the firefighters and first-responders which include the helicopter and airplane pilots who have been flying for day in and day out, who risked life and limb to battle the horrific Beavercreek Fire in Idaho," he said at the time, ETOnline reported.

Willis has many homes in the Sun Valley area of Idaho, and he even raised his daughters with Demi Moore there. He arranged for a catering service to feed the hardworking firefighters.

“You are the men and women who put your lives at risk to protect ours on a daily basis, but it is at moments like these that your heroism comes to the forefront of our nation's consciousness,” he continued in the statement. “On behalf of me and my family, please know that there will never be enough words to express our deepest appreciation for your ever-present dedication and bravery.”

It sure is better to see a story about Willis' patriotism than a regurgitated story about Rue McClanahan's death again.
