'The Big Bang Theory' season 8 Blu-ray review

Get ready The Big Bang Theory fans because the season eight Blu-ray is on its way and it is filled with special features that will have you saying Bazinga!

For fans who watched the previous season, you will remember that it ended on some shocking notes, namely almost every single relationship was in trouble at some point or the other. First, we discovered Leonard cheated on Penny and Amy broke up with Sheldon. We’ve been waiting all summer for the show to come back and just in time for the season premiere later this month, you can now look back at the episodes that brought the characters into our living rooms every night.

Last season, one of the episodes I loved was the prom episode, not only because it offered an intimate look at all of the couples, but it also led to a sweet exchange between Amy and Sheldon. Of course, this only makes the episode sad when you remember that they break up at the end of the season. It was great to see relationships of all kinds develop and they handled the death of a beloved cast member with grace, showing on-screen how the loss of a mother affected her son.

Overall, it was a great season save for the ending, but we’ll soon see how everything plays out for season nine. Until then, take a look back at those episodes that defined the season.

You will enjoy seeing behind the scenes moments, including the 2014 Comic Con panel, getting a glimpse of Billy Bob Thornton filming for his guest appearance, and there is also a feature with Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, and Chuck Lorre discussing their stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Another special feature pays tribute to actress Carol Ann Suzi, who was the voice of Mrs. Wolowitz. There are two discs that come with the Blu-ray and the second one includes a gag reel from the season.

Own it on Blu-Ray, DVD, & Digital HD September 15, 2015.
