Cara Delevingne candidly talks about depression, suicidal thoughts

Cara Delevingne opened up about her struggles with anxiety and depression at a summit called Women In The World in London last week. She revealed she started feeling this way at age 15.

The model and Paper Towns star admitted to being suicidal as a teen and urged anyone who feels like that not to be "ashamed" to seek help.

She was extremely candid when she told the audience, "I wanted the world to swallow me up, and nothing seemed better to me than death,” Nylon reports.

Delevingne, who has since left the world of modeling to pursue her passion of acting, talked about witnessing so much negativity between “perverse photographers” and models who were getting “used.”

She also talked about battling psoriasis and the quick fixed her modeling agency had her do. “All those problems I had I masked with medicine instead of taking time to really solve them,” she said. “But at that time I really wanted someone to stop me, to go ‘You need to take a break, you need to look after yourself.' And no-one did.”

Eventually it was fellow supermodel Kate Moss who advised her to stop, which she listened to.
