CBS delays Jane Lynch’s ‘Angel From Hell,’ moves up ‘2 Broke Girls’

CBS has decided to hold back Angel From Hell until February. The show marks Jane Lynch’s return to scripted television following the end of Glee and is a rare single-cam comedy from the eye network.

Instead, CBS has decided to launch the familiar 2 Broke Girls in November, instead of waiting until the winter. The show, which stars Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs as the titular broke girls, will start its fifth season on Nov. 12 at 9:30 p.m.

Angel From Hell stars Maggie Lawson as Allison, who befriends Amy (Lynch). Amy thinks she’s Allison's guardian angel, but Allison isn’t completely convinced. It was written by Scrubs’ Ted Quill and is a CBS TV Production.

Lynch is a familiar face to CBS, as she appeared in several episodes of Two and a Half Men. In addition to working for Fox on Glee, she also works at NBC as the Emmy winning host of Hollywood Game Night. Maybe ABC can find a job for her.

Angel From Hell was only one of two new sitcoms CBS had originally scheduled to debut this fall. Life In Pieces with Colin Hanks airs on Mondays and will move to Thursdays after Thursday Night Football ends.

So, here’s how CBS’ Thursdays look in November:

8:00-8:31: The Big Bang Theory
8:31-9:01: Life In Pieces
9:01-9:30: Mom (third season premiere)

10:00-11:00: Elementary
