In an candid interview with Time Out London, the 47-year-old actor said he is ready to put the role behind him despite starring in the last four films of the successful franchise, citing a growing fatigue of portraying what he felt had become an increasingly stale role with each iteration.

When asked if he could imagine himself doing another Bond movie, Craig had some choice words to say in response.

"Now? I'd rather break this glass and slash my wrists. No, not at the moment. Not at all. That's fine. I'm over it at the moment. We're done. All I want to do is move on."

However, Craig did not rule out a possibility of returning to the role after a hiatus, saying that he wanted to move on “for at least a year or two,” not wanting to “think about it.”

“At the moment, we've done it. I'm not in discussion with anybody about anything. If I did another Bond movie, it would only be for the money,” Craig added.

Spectre, the 24th movie in the James Bond franchise, is set to open Nov. 6 in U.S. theaters after premiering Oct. 26 in the UK, some 53 years after the release of Dr. No, the first film in the iconic series. It stars Daniel Craig as 007, and also features the likes of Christoph Waltz, Monica Bellucci, Lea Seydoux and Ralph Fiennes in supporting roles.
