George and Amal Clooney have added a new addition to their family; a rescue dog named Millie. Millie joins their other rescue dog, Louie.
The Clooneys, who got married last year, adopted the 4-year-old bassett hound from the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society in California, who posted a photo on their Facebook page.
“ADOPTED! Millie was adopted by George Clooney and his wife Amal!!” the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society wrote. “Millie, a bassett hound, now has a new brother named Louie who is also a rescue! Congratulations and thank you for adopting!!”
The couple had their sights set on a bassett hound in particular, and had been looking for one through the adoption site Petfinder. When they found Millie, they did a “meet and greet” with her to make sure she got along with Louie, who is a cocker spaniel.
On the society’s website, they wrote, "It was good news that Millie and Louie hit it off and the happy, new family headed home together! We hope Millie will stay in touch and send photos."
