Judge rules that Suge Knight, Katt Williams will stand trial

Former music executive Marion “Suge” Knight and comedian Katt Williams were both ordered by a judge to stand trial on 2014 robbery charges.

The Associated Press reported that Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Ronald Coen ordered that there was enough evidence to have both men stand trial for the charges of allegedly stealing a paparazzo’s camera. Knight will also face a charge of making criminal threats.

Knight and Williams were charged with robbery for allegedly stealing the female photographer’s camera in Beverly Hills last year. They have each plead not guilty.

As we previously reported, a hearing in this case was delayed last month at the request of Knight’s lawyer Thomas Mesereau.

This is only one of the legal troubles for the once-feared rap music mogul. He also faces a murder charge for allegedly running down Straight Outta Compton adviser Terry Carter with his vehicle in a parking lot after the two had a disagreement.

Knight is currently in prison and if convicted in either case faces a life sentence because of his previous convictions.
