Marshawn Lynch and Starbucks develop Beast Mode Frappuccino for charity

Starbucks teamed up with Seattle Seahawks star running back Marshawn Lynch to develop a new Frappuccino drink appropriately named after Lynch's nickname "Beast Mode."

The new Starbucks drink will be a blend of mint and chocolate flavors as well as a bit of protein powder, enough to "unleash your inner best mode." It will be sold in Washington and Oakland stores starting on Oct. 22.

For every Best Mode Frappuccino sold during football season, Starbucks will be donating 24 cents (Lynch's number) to the Fam 1st Family Foundation, a foundation co-founded by Lynch and Buffalo Bills quarterback Joshua Johnson in 2011 to mentor underprivileged youth on the value of education, literacy and self-esteem.

The vision of Fam 1st Family Foundation is to develop workshops for "vulnerable communities to promote literacy, athletic training, financial training, after school tutoring, art programs, vocational training, law and order program and more."

Lynch hails from Oakland and was once an at risk youth himself.  His rough upbringing has lead to his desire to empower inner-city youth in his hometown and across the U.S. Lynch says "It is so important to Josh and me that these kids are able to excel in school and life against all odds"
