“NBCUniversal has long been an important partner to me, and I’m excited to continue our strategic relationship,” Seacrest said in a statement. “Live television is both thrilling and challenging in countless ways, and it’s a privilege to be a part of E!’s Live From the Red Carpet shows. It’s truly a credit to the entire cast and incredible crew that we're consistently able to produce the best awards season coverage in the business.”

The Live from the Red Carpet shows drew a combined 16.3 million viewers for E! in 2015. The most recent broadcast was at the Emmy Awards, which Seacrest hosted with Giuliana Rancic. The show drew 1.1 million viewers and 546,000 viewers in the 18-49 demographic. During the last 15 minutes before the Emmys, the broadcast was up to 2 million viewers.

In addition to working for E!, Seacrest’s NBCUniversal deal also includes helping out with NBC’s Olympic coverage. He will participate in the network’s 2016 Rio de Janeiro Summer Olympics coverage.

In addition to his work at NBCU, Seacrest will host Fox’s final season of American Idol in January. He also has his nationally syndicated morning show On Air With Ryan Seacrest and hosts ABC’s Dick Clark’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest.

His Ryan Seacrest Productions is also responsible for the Kardashian reality shows on E!.
