Charlie Sheen to make 'personal announcement' on 'Today' following HIV positive rumors

Charlie Sheen will make an announcement about his personal life on Tuesday’s Today Show, which the show teased on Monday. The announcement has only been described as “personal,” and he will reveal it in a sit-down interview with Matt Lauer.

Today.com teased he would be live in-studio and the interview will appear on the website directly after it airs.

National Enquirer recently ran a story that the former Two and a Half Men star is HIV positive, so there’s speculation that he will announce it to the world tomorrow.

The Enquirer claimed the actor has already started medication to fight the disease and his “outlook is positive.” The story was first ran last month, but the publication didn’t reveal his name; only that a Hollywood womanizer was hiding this disease.

The magazine also claims he gave the disease to many women he’s slept with and spent a fortune trying to cover it up.

Update: Crisis manager, Howard Bragman, told People he was approached by Sheen's camp about this six months ago, confirming it's "been going on for quite a while."
