Julia Roberts calls Jennifer Lawrence a 'talented whippersnapper'

Julia Roberts had many nice things to say about Jennifer Lawrence during her appearance on Good Morning America and she even applauded her for her gender wage gap essay she wrote for Lena Dunham’s Lenny Letter.

Roberts told Michael Strahan while promoting her film Secret In Their Eyes that she sees some of herself in the Oscar winner, calling herself "ferocious."

"She's a young, fabulous, talented whippersnapper and I love that she's stirring things up," Roberts said of Lawrence.

She added, “I mean, she just – she's so energetic and seems to speak her mind, and I think it's great. I think it's great to kind of shake things up. I think it's great to go, 'Excuse me. Over here. I know something now and I'm frustrated by it and why is this?'"

Referring to Lawrence's gender wage gap essay, Roberts said "I applaud her." In part, Lawrence wrote in the op/ed,  “I’m over trying to find the ‘adorable’ way to state my opinion and still be likable. F— that.”
