Porn star James Deen is facing backlash after being accused of rape or assault by three adult film stars. It all started when his ex, Stoya, accused him of raping her in a series of tweets.
Stoya’s tweets inspired two more women to come forward, which has prompted Deen to respond on his own Twitter page. Deen appeared opposite Lindsay Lohan in The Canyons and also starred in Teen Mom OG star Farrah Abraham's porn films Farrah Superstar: Backdoor Teen Mom and its sequel.
“That thing where you log in to the internet for a second and see people idolizing the guy who raped you as a feminist,” Stoya first wrote. “That thing sucks.”
In case there was any confusion about who she was referring to, she continued, “James Deen held me down and f--ked me while I said no, stop, used my safeword. I just can't nod and smile when people bring him up anymore.”
Since then, Tori Lux and Ashley Fires have also come forward with assault claims. Lux told the Daily Beast she was attacked by Deen in 2011 on a “major porn set” after she wrapped a scene with someone else, although he didn’t rape her. Fires told Daily Beast Deen “almost raped” her and also accused him of attacking her.
Deen has since tweeted these claims are “egregious.” The hashtag "SolidarityWithStoya" was started after Stoya's tweets were posted.
I want to assure my friends, fans and colleagues that these allegations are both false and defamatory
