Justin Bieber, Pitbull added to Grammy performers

Even though Justin Bieber’s Purpose isn’t eligible for the Grammys this year, the pop superstar will still be performing at the ceremony next month. Pitbull has also been added to the roster of performers.

The Recording Academy announced the news on their Instagram page. The previously announced performers are Adele, Lionel Richie, Little Big Town, The Weeknd and Kendrick Lamar.

Adele and Bieber are both in a curious position. Even though they both released two of the biggest albums of 2015 - 25 and Purpose, respectively - neither of them are eligible for the Grammys. The 58th Annual Grammy Awards covers releases from Oct. 1, 2014 to Sept. 30, 2015.

Still, Bieber was nominated for Best Dance Recording, thanks to his collaboration with Skrillex and Diplo, “Where Are U Now.”

The Grammys will air live on CBS on Feb. 15 from the STAPLES Center. You can check out the list of nominees here.
