'New Girl' season 5, episode 4 recap: 'No Girl'

It's episode one without Jess and no one is grieving her absence more than Winston, mostly because he has nobody to go to about lady advice. Luckily Cece has stepped up to taking care of all the boys while Jess is gone, with Winston being her first.

After seeing his girlfriend Casey post a picture with another man online, Winston automatically thinks she's cheating and Cece makes him post a picture with her as revenge, thinking this would solve the issue. Not so surprisingly Casey dumps Winston after seeing the picture.

At her best attempt of being Jess, Cece makes Winston tea, cupcakes, and wants to sing cute songs, but ends up giving him some terrible advice like lowering his standards, going for someone older and dumpier because he needs to stay in his lane.

Amidst the Cece and Winston's ongoing issue, Nick and Schmidt have problems of their own. Todd (rich, egotistical friend) wants to do "Vegass" for Schmidt's bachelor party, feeling the pressure Nick one ups Todd's gesture and says he is taking Schmidt to Tokyo, after all he is the best man. Although it's a wonderful and thoughtful idea...Nick forgot that he doesn't really have $9,000 to pay for it.

In a true Nick Miller panic he decides to turn their home into a premiere boutique, renting all their rooms to guests. Their guests include an inspiring novelist, a Japanese woman who barely speaks English, and a family who's daughter does Al Pacino impressions.

To keep the guests happy Nick and Schmidt are doing their laundry, fixing showers, listening to terrible book excerpts, and cleaning up after all their messes.

After one too many wine glasses were dropped Schmidt kicks all the guests out and shuts down their premiere boutique, and says he is just going to have Todd throw his bachelor party. There's just one issue, they can't charge the Japanese woman because Nick had sex with her. Desperate for money Nick tries to explain the circumstances of why they turned their home into a hotel and she thinks he's a male prostitute and that's why he's really asking him for money.

Being Cece failed Winston he takes matters into his own hands and decides the only way to get Casey back is to make her cry over him. The two drive to her house and Cece tells her that Winston had passed away, and after the man from the picture with her walks out Cece adds, "his last words were this is all Casey's fault and I wouldn't be dead if it wasn't for her." To which Casey starts sobbing and Winston overjoyed for some odd reason, jumps out of the bush and ends things.

Nick and Schmidt meet up with Todd and tell him about their failed boutique to get enough money to go to Tokyo. Todd being the real asshole he is laughs that they've never been there, and because of Nick's failure he should get to kick him in the nuts. Nick being the best best man accepts it, and Schmidt won't let it happen. In the offering of taking a shot to the nuts Schmidt realizes that any bachelor party Nick throws him will be far better then Todd's "Vegass" trip because Nick is his best friend.
