Zac Efron apologizes for insensitive MLK post

Zac Efron took to Instagram to apologize for his previous MLK day post that people took offensive to. The actor wrote that he was grateful for two things - MLK day and his social media followers.

"I'm grateful for a couple of things today: Martin Luther King Jr & 10 million followers on IG #MLKDay," he wrote with a shot of himself in a convertible by the sunset.

In the caption Efron posted two African American emojis, the index finger and the fist. Seconds after he posted it, Twitter users accused the actor of being "offensive" and "embarrassing" and users quickly asked why he couldn't have done two entirely separate posts.

Realizing he was wrong, Efron took to Instagram on Tuesday to apologize for his wrongdoing. The original post has been removed as well.
